WVSGC's focus is on building research infrastructure and the promotion of Math, Science, Engineering and Technology education in West Virginia.
WVSGC is a group of West Virginia academic institutions with industrial partners under the sponsorship of NASA. An important component of its mission is to help build research infrastructure at its member institutions. In addition to small seed grants, the consortium makes awards for different programs that are open to competition by all faculty from the consortium affiliates. Each award category is judged separately based on published criteria. WVU is a member of the consortium.
